Panelling is the part of a house that is judged from six feet away and then again from six inches, and it is the second look that decides whether it was worth the money. What fails at six inches is usually the same thing: the panels do not match each other. A wall put up from stock lengths bought over three weeks has three slightly different profiles on it, and once you have seen it you cannot stop seeing it.
We cut a wall as one run on one machine from one drawing, which is the whole argument for doing this on a CNC rather than by hand at site. Forty feet of moulding comes off with the same profile at the end as at the start. A row of brackets is genuinely a row rather than a collection. Then the edges and the faces are finished by hand at the bench, because the machine gets it close and the hand gets it right.
The work runs from a single carved entrance door to the whole inside of a house - panelling, partitions, ceiling, stair and balcony fronts, wardrobes, TV units, and the mouldings and corbels that tie them together. Send photographs of the rooms and a floor plan if you have one. We measure ourselves before anything is cut.

Doors, Screens and Ceilings
A panelled wall
Grooved boarding run the length of a room, with a carved rail and turned brass rosettes breaking it at chair height.
Teak
A carved entrance door
Two leaves carved top to bottom, hung on a house. The centre stile, the beading and the panels are all cut on one setting, so the pattern runs through the join instead of stopping at it.

Star jaali panel
A repeating star lattice cut clean through, for a partition or a ventilator. The pattern is set out so no cut lands on a short grain.
Pierced ceiling screen
A ceiling panel cut right through and sprayed white. The pattern is drawn to the room it goes in.
Gothic tracery screen
Rose-window tracery in two tiers, cut and then painted out, so what you read is the shadow rather than the timber.

Questions we are asked
Do you design, or do you only cut what my architect sends?
Both. If you have an architect or a designer we cut to their drawings and answer to them. If you do not, we draw it - and you see the drawing at the size of your actual wall before we start.
Can you match panelling I already have in the house?
Usually yes. We take a sample or a close photograph of the existing profile and cut to match it, including the polish. Matching old work is a large part of what this workshop does.
What is the difference between teak, MDF and WPC here?
Teak for anything that is touched, seen closely, or has to last a lifetime. MDF and HDHMR for painted panelling, where they hold a sharper edge than timber and cost less. WPC where there is water - bathrooms, balconies, anything on an outside wall.
Do you handle the fitting?
Yes, with our own team. Everything is machined and finished here, so on site we are fitting finished panels rather than making dust in your house.
How long does a room take?
Two to four weeks from a signed drawing for a room, longer for a whole house, and we give the date in writing. Tell us the date you are moving in and we will plan backwards from it.
Do you take work outside Kottayam district?
Yes. We work across Kerala - Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur and beyond.
