Corporate gifts, mementos and awards
By the WuDesign workshop, Thottakkadu · Photographs are of our own work · Updated 6 September 2026
In short
- Mementos, trophies, awards, plaques, desk name blocks and engraved presentation pieces.
- Your logo and citation engraved into solid teak, rosewood or a live-edge slab - not a printed plate glued onto a base.
- Cut in batches from one drawing, so forty awards are forty of the same award.
- Good for annual days, retirements, long service, inaugurations, church and school functions.
The standard memento in Kerala is a piece of moulded acrylic with a printed sticker on the front, handed over on a stage and put in a cupboard the same evening. It costs very little and it reads as costing very little, which is an odd note to strike at the moment you are thanking somebody for thirty years of work.
These are cut from solid timber and engraved - the logo, the name, the citation and the date cut into the wood and filled, or pierced right through so the wall behind shows in the letters. A live-edge slab makes a memento that is obviously one specific piece of wood and not one of a mould. They sit on a desk afterwards instead of in a cupboard, which is the whole point of giving one.
Batches are where the machine earns its keep. Forty awards for an annual day come off one drawing with the same depth and the same margins, so the fortieth is the first. Send us the logo - a vector file is ideal, but we will redraw from a good image - along with the wording, the quantity and the date of the function, and we will tell you straight away whether the date is realistic.

Questions we are asked
Can you engrave our company logo?
Yes. Send a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) if you have one; if not, send the cleanest image you have and we redraw it. You approve the drawing before we cut.
What is the minimum order?
One. A single retirement piece is as welcome as a batch of forty, though the per-piece cost obviously falls with quantity.
How far ahead should we order for a function?
Two to four weeks for a batch is comfortable. Tell us the function date in your first message and we will confirm whether it can be met before you commit.
Can you do church, school and club mementos?
Yes - inauguration and foundation plaques, prize-day awards, jubilee and anniversary pieces, and scripture or citation boards.
Do you supply boxes or packing?
Tell us if the pieces are being handed out on a stage or couriered, and we will pack accordingly.
Can we see a sample first?
For a larger batch we can cut one piece for approval before running the rest. That is the safest way to order forty of anything.
