A wedding gives you one date and no second chance at it, so this is the part of the workshop that works to a calendar rather than to a season. The pieces here are the ones a Kerala wedding actually uses: the tray the rings are carried on, the trays carried up the aisle, the board the guests sign, the serving boards that go home afterwards and stay in the kitchen for thirty years.
Every one of them is lettered with the couple's own names, so nothing on this page is a stock item you pick a size from. The names, the date and the ornament are drawn first and cut afterwards - engraved into solid teak or rosewood rather than printed onto it, filled where the note says filled, and left pale where the grain is worth seeing.
Tell us the wedding date before anything else. We plan backwards from it the same way we plan backwards from a feast day, and we will tell you the last date we can start and still hand the pieces over in time.

What is in the wedding collection?

Can you put our names and the date on it?
That is how every piece here is made. The names, the date and the ornament are drawn first, then cut into the timber and filled.
Which timber are the wedding pieces made in?
Teak and rosewood, the same timbers as the rest of the workshop. Figured teak is used where a board is meant to show its grain.
How far ahead should we order?
Tell us the wedding date when you first write. We plan backwards from it and tell you the last date we can start and still finish in time.
Can we order one piece rather than a set?
Yes. One piece is as welcome as a batch, and the set on this page is not sold as a set.
